MIX THE BODY
The third installment of the Mix series, Mix the Body, gives anyone the chance to create a piece of contemporary dance using movements choreographed by leading choreographer Wayne McGregor.
The online experience reflects how Wayne McGregor actually creates his unique work: choreography first, then building the music around it.

Mix the Body, gives anyone the chance to create a piece of contemporary dance using movements choreographed by leading choreographer Wayne McGregor: the online experience reflects how he actually creates his unique work choreography.
Given the specificity of the project we have created a gesture-driven user experience which gives the user a sense of freedom, each movement cleverly interprets the hand gestures and explores that in a sequence of flowing movements. That was made possible by using a nearest-neighbor classifier with a Euclidean scoring function, like a geometric template matcher, to allow the site to recognize user gestures.
AI-Enhanced experience
The gestures recognition is based on $1 Unistroke Recognizer in its Protractor variant, a fast geometric template matcher.
We trained it with more than one hundred gestures, and applied some static checks that help to recognize gesture orientation and direction."
