You may remember that little project, Mix The City - Tel Aviv that we did for British Council Israel, working with artist Kutiman and press wizards Flying Object, where we created a site that turned even the most-tone deaf user into a musical genius?
Mix The City has brought the sounds and music of Tel Aviv to 400,000 users, across 189 countries, with 2200 gigabytes of mixes created to date.
As if receiving praise from TechCrunch, Mashable, and Creative Review wasn’t enough, we’re extra proud to announce that Mix the City has been listed as a finalist in the Music category for the prestigious 2015 LOVIE Awards, and shortlisted in the Weird & Experimental category.
The Lovie Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading and most-coveted European award honouring excellence on the Internet.
”Mix the City has excelled in its category, showing fantastic prowess in digital innovation and creativity,” said Nik Roope, Executive Chair of IADAS. “This award is a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators.” Aw, shucks!
We’d love your support to help us take home The People’s Lovie Award - every vote counts, so head over to this link and spread a little love around for Mix The City!
